Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Social Steps app ("the app"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms.

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use Social Steps on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with the Apple App Store Terms of Service.

2. How the app works

Social Steps converts your steps into screen-time minutes and can restrict access to apps you choose using Apple's Screen Time framework. The app depends on data provided by Apple Health and on iOS system features; we cannot guarantee that step counts or restrictions are always perfectly accurate or available.

3. Premium subscription

  • Social Steps offers an auto-renewable monthly subscription ("Premium") that unlocks a custom conversion rate and manual bonus minutes.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account upon confirmation of purchase, in your local currency.
  • The subscription automatically renews unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings after purchase.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app, attempt to circumvent its security, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

5. Not medical advice

Social Steps is a motivational and productivity tool. It does not provide medical, health, or fitness advice. Always use your own judgement and consult a professional where appropriate.

6. Disclaimer & limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.

7. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
